Skamania County Sheriff’s Office Launches Smart Phone Application

The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office has launched a new smart phone application or “app” for the public to access Sheriff’s Office information. The Sheriff’s Office has teamed up with a company called Appriss, which runs the application free of charge to the Sheriff’s Office and the public. Appriss is a well known nationwide victim information and notification company.

Information available on the phone application is: Most Wanted List, Current jail roster (with bail and charges information), links to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook and Twitter, Bail Bondsman/Attorney information and much more. Currently the application is only available to Android Phones, however within several weeks it will be available for the Iphone as well.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the Sheriff’s Office to continue utilizing new technology to keep the public informed” stated Chief David Waymire.
