The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation into the disappearance of Joseph Ronald Sizemore, 42, from Portland, Oregon. Mr. Sizemore has been missing since 7 September at approximately 11:40 AM after being contacted by Skamania County Deputies for a motorist assist at approximately mile post 17 on the Washougal River Road in rural Skamania County. Authorities are continuing to request the public’s assistance in locating him.
Mr. Sizemore has been missing now for 18 days, and has not had access to medications for numerous life threatening medical issues.
“We are very concerned about Mr. Sizemore’s physical and mental state after being without his medication”, said Undersheriff Dave Cox. “Mr. Sizemore’s family has provided information of several life threatening medical issues which require his daily medications that he has not been able to take for 18 days now. Mr Sizemore is somewhat mentally disabled and may appear disoriented.”
At the time of officer contact, Sizemore was driving a 2009 Ford Focus, red in color with an Oregon trip permit in the back window, with no vehicle plates. At the end of being contacted by Deputies, Sizemore indicated that he was going back to his residence on NE Halsey in Portland, heading south on the Washougal River Road from MP 17. According to family members, Sizemore never returned.
“We will continue to follow up on any leads in this investigation that are provided to us”, said Cox. “I cannot emphasize enough the importance of Mr. Sizemore being found and having access to his life saving medications.”
Sizemore is a white male adult, 5’09” and 275 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. A photo is included with this release, as well as a photo of a similar vehicle. Sizemore has been entered as a Missing Endangered person because of his medical and mental status.
If anyone has seen Sizemore, they are requested to contact the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office at (509) 427-9490 extension 0, or call 9-1-1.
Thank you all.
