The East Crater Fire, in the Indian Heaven Wilderness, is under the jurisdiction of the US Forest Service Mt Adams District. The fire is estimated to be affecting 600 plus acres. There are currently no available Incident Management Teams to coordinate suppression efforts on this fire. Forest Service personnel are actively monitoring the fire area and assessing for suppression efforts in the event resources become available.
The Bear Creek Fire, located approximately 8 miles North of Carson, is on USFS managed lands and under USFS fire jurisdiction. It is approximately 25 acres in size burning downhill slowly on an eastern facing slope with several DNR and FS personnel on site. Residents living along Bear Creek Rd and Borden Rd remain on a level 1 evacuation notice.

The Archer Mountain fire in the NW Skamania area is currently at approximately 75 acres. There are Washington Department of Natural Resources crews currently working to contain this fire. The following evacuation levels remain in place:
Level 1- Mabee Mines Rd, Patrick Lane, Hillsberry Rd and Foggy Ridge Road, McCloskey Creek, Kellett Rd and Victoria Lane.
Level 2- Smith Cripe Road and all roads intersecting Smith Cripe above SR-14
Level 3- Franz Rd, Archer Mt. Rd, Deville Drive, Dimrill Dale Drive, and Wakina Rd.
Evacuation levels are constantly being evaluated as fire behavior changes. If the evacuation level is reduced, that information will be posted on the Skamania County Sheriff’s website at www.skamaniasheriff.com
Should it become necessary to increase an evacuation level, residents will be notified in person by Sheriff’s deputies or other emergency personnel.
