The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in identifying a subject involved in a burglary and subsequent pursuit. At approximately 1:40 AM, on 03/16/2023, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious subject at a residence on Fitzgerald Road, located in the western portion of Skamania County. The resident initially reported a suspicious male at the residence with a flashlight, looking in their vehicles and house windows. Prior to the deputies’ arrival the subject left, but then returned to the residence in a dark colored sedan. Deputies attempted to contact the subject, who then drove away at a high rate of speed. Based on the information provided by the reporting party, paired with video surveillance footage, a pursuit was initiated in an attempt to stop the subject. The pursuit was ultimately terminated within the City of Washougal based on safety concerns.
