On 8/24/22 at approximately 4:00 pm, the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office, Skamania County EMS, and personnel from Fire District #1 responded to a motorcycle vs car, injury collision on Metzger Road in Carson, Washington.
The preliminary information revealed a 2007 Subaru Impreza, operated by Carsen K. West, 26, of Carson, Washington was turning left from Metzger Road onto Noble Fir Drive. An off-road style motorcycle was southbound on Metzger Road, operated by Nickolis S. Oium, 34, Carson, Washington, impacted the Subaru causing the rider to be thrown from the bike. Oium died at the scene; West was not injured. The cause of the collision still under investigation.
