We have received a few reports from residents of the Willard/Mill-A area that their phone service is back up. This has not been confirmed by CenturyLink. The last update they gave was this morning advising phone service was still down and that technicians were diagnosing the problem. Your ability to call 911 from your landline phone may still be inhibited. If you need emergency services in the Willard/Mill-A area you may try your landline but if that fails, please utilize your cell phone to make a voice or text call to 911. Please do not make a test call to 911. We will keep you posted when we are notified by CenturyLink of phone service restoration.

The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office has received no updates from CenturyLink regarding the phone outage in the Willard/Mill-A area since last night. CenturyLink is still advising us that 123 customers are without phone service in the Willard/Mill-A area. A technician has been dispatched to the area but there is not an estimated time of repair. This may inhibit your ability to call 911.
If you need emergency services in the Willard/Mill-A area, please try using your cell phone by making a voice or text call. The Skamania County Amateur Radio Emergency Services member is no longer at the Mill-A School, so please utilize your cell phone to contact 911 and please do not place a 911 test call from your cell phone. We will keep you posted when we are notified by CenturyLink of phone service restoration.

CenturyLink is still advising us that 123 customers are without phone service in the Willard/Mill-A area. A technician has been dispatched to the area but there is not an estimated time of repair. As of 10:00 AM today a Skamania County Amateur Radio Emergency Services member has been dispatched to the Mill-A School. They are available to take emergency calls in person and relay them to the Skamania County 911 Center via amateur radio if you have no other way to communicate with 911.
