On February 20th, 2024, Skamania County Deputies responded to an assault in the City of Stevenson. After the investigation, it was determined the suspect had thrown a license plate at the victim. The involved license plate was checked by deputies on scene, and it returned to a stolen Audi Q5 blue in color out of Portland, OR. On February 18th, 2024, A citizen made Deputies aware of a blue Audi Q5 in the Carson, WA area that was possibly associated with the sale of narcotics. After the incident on February 20th, Deputies checked the Carson, WA area for the blue Audi. The vehicle was located at the Carson Springs Apartments, with switched plates. A check of the VIN number confirmed it was the stolen Audi associated with the recovered license plate in Stevenson. Deputies set up surveillance on the stolen Audi with the intent of catching the person possessing the stolen vehicle. A short time later the stolen Audi was observed leaving the Carson Springs Apartments. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of Brooks Rd. The driver, Tasha Wilson of Carson, was arrested and booked into the Skamania County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. The vehicle was seized pending a search warrant. This investigation is on-going, and more charges/arrests could be made. The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the citizens who provided the information to Deputies.
